Create and code digital devices with the Microbit.

Detail

Introduction to the Microbit

You will gain an understanding of this amazing microcontroller and explore some of the possibilities.

Input Devices and Sensors

You will attach a variety of input devices - switches, light sensors, temperature sensors, etc - and write simple programs to take readings.

Output Devices

You will attach a variety of output devices - lights, displays, etc - and write simple programs to display your input readings.

Motors

You will learn about different types of motors and their uses and and program them to respond to your input readings.

Building your own project

Individually or in groups you will design and build a project such as an alarm system, weather station, moving creature, etc.

Duration

10 hours (usually over 2 days)
